Payment, Refund, and Cancellation Policy

Course Payment:

• Payment Options:
  • Pay in full or place a deposit of $250 to reserve your slot.
  • The balance must be paid before the first day of class.
• Non-Refundable Deposit:
  • The initial deposit (or first $250) is non-refundable.
  • Failure to pay the balance will result in forfeiture of your slot and deposit.

Course Refund Policy:

• Refunds:
  • No refunds after the morning of the first class.
• Credit for Future Courses:
  • If you cannot attend due to unforeseen events or illness, your full payment will be credited toward a future course (including private courses).

Withdrawal & Cancellation Policy:

• Class Withdrawals:
  • Withdrawals up to one week before the class start date are allowed.
  • A second cancellation results in forfeiture of your $250 deposit.
  • A third cancellation forfeits all payments.

Trip Cancellations:

• Refundable Deposits:
  • Deposits are refundable until the payment due date(s). After the due date, that portion is no longer refundable.
  • Cancellations within 90 days of the trip are non-refundable.

Charter Cancellations:

• Refunds Based on Timing:
  • Cancel at least 72 hours before departure for a full refund.
  • Cancel within 72–24 hours, and refunds will only be issued if the spot is filled.
  • No refunds for cancellations within 24 hours.
• Weather-Related Cancellations:
  • Full refunds will be issued if the charter is canceled due to weather conditions.

Rebooking Policy

At Portsmouth Scuba, we understand that schedules can change. Our rebooking policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to manage instructors, pool time, boats, and travel commitments.

Courses, Pool Sessions & Local Dives

• Rebooking requests made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled activity may be rebooked once at no charge, subject to availability.

• Requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled activity may be rebooked with a $50 rebooking fee.

• No-shows or same-day cancellations are not eligible for rebooking and will forfeit that session.

Open Water Training Dives

• Rebooking requests made 72 hours or more in advance may be rebooked once at no charge.

• Requests within 72 hours may incur a rebooking fee or require full repayment, depending on boat or site commitments.

Trips, Charters & Special Events

• Rebooking for trips, charters, and special events is subject to vendor, boat, and resort policies.

• Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated, but may be transferable to another Portsmouth Scuba trip at our discretion.

• Rebooking fees may apply if we incur non-recoverable costs.

Medical or Emergency Situations

• In the event of a documented medical issue or true emergency, we will do our best to work with you on rebooking or credit, though fees may still apply depending on third-party costs.

General Notes

• Rebooked sessions must be completed within 12 months unless otherwise specified.

• All rebookings are subject to availability.

• Portsmouth Scuba reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities due to weather, safety, or minimum enrollment; in these cases, no rebooking fee applies.
