HISTORY

Portsmouth Scuba was founded out of a passion for finding treasures and a love for diving. In 1986, a property on Marcy St was purchased with the intention of converting a boathouse into an apartment. Instead, it was transformed into a dive shop in 1989, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey in diving.

Portsmouth, NH, became the perfect playground, offering endless opportunities to explore the underwater world. After many long hours of restoration, the dream became a reality, and Portsmouth Scuba opened its doors. For ten years, a passion for diving, history, and artifacts was fostered in customers, creating a community driven by curiosity and adventure. Business flourished, and Portsmouth Scuba eventually moved to its current location on Sagamore Ave in 1999, where it continues to thrive today under the ownership of Dick Scott, who shares the same deep passion for diving.

To establish an integrated four-pillar dive program that encompasses:
